MALTHUS THEORY OF HUMAN POPULATION GROWTH ………
THOMAS ROBERT MALTHUS, a great British political economist states the human population problem. He pace this argument in 3 simple premises …
1) Food is necessary for people to survive.
2)There should be equal ratio between male & female to continue next generation.
3)The power of population growth is indefinitely greater then the power of earth to sustain life.
On the basis of these assumption Malthus proposed these theory of human population growth.Following are the main points of this theory:-
*Population grows in geometrical progression whereas the means that support population growth only in arithmetic ratio.
*The faster the growth of population then it’s requirement creates an imbalance between the two.
*When the imbalance between the two reaches to a certain limit, environmental factors such as malnutrition ,epidemic of a disease, flood, etc. reduced the population to a size, the available resources can support.
